Favourite Comics #005 - Seven Soldiers: Klarion 4

This is the final issue in Klarion the Witch Boy’s Seven Soldiers series. It opens with Klarion having just returned to Limbo Town (the underground land where the Puritan descendant witches live) from what they call Blue Rafters (the above-ground world). At the end of last issue, Klarion was convinced by his cat familiar Teekl to return to Limbo Town to warn the other witches about Melmoth coming to take over Limbo Town.

Favourite Comics #004 - Red Robin 12

This is probably my favourite issue of Red Robin. Ever. Tim is amazing.

Tim has found evidence that Bruce is actually alive, but in the process has managed to piss Ra’s al Ghul off, causing him to send assassins after everyone Bruce loves, in order to destroy Batman’s legacy.

Favourite Comics #003 - Arkham Asylum: Living Hell 1

Arham Asylum: Living Hell 1

This is the first issue in Arkham Asylum: Living Hell, a series written by Dan Slott and Ryan Sook, and it's awesome. It has a series of stories about various inmates in the asylum and it all culminates in one big event near the end of the series.

Favourite Comics #002 - Superman/Batman 75

This is a supersized special issue. The first half or so of the issue is a fully story, but the rest is made of up these one or two-page things by various artists and writers. The second half is actually what I really like about it and what I’m going to be talking about here.

Adam Hughes has a two-page spread with Kara on the top half, and Babs on the bottom half, with a few panels each that have no dialogue or narration, but speak pretty clearly for themselves. The only text in this are the words “Worlds end...but life goes on.” I can’t even express how much I love this.

Onwards to various SuperBat feelings! )

Favourite Comics #001 - Batman 615

Part 8 of Batman: Hush
Part 8 of Batman: Hush

This is actually smack bang in the middle of the Hush storyline (one of the first comics I ever read, and it remains one of my all time favourites), but the general gist of what's happened so far is that there's been a series of events/crimes/whatever involving a number different enemies and associates of Batman's, and Bruce is trying to figure out the connection.
